Un semplice cartellone per segnare il meteo e imparare le temperature e il tempo meteorologico. Da appendere in classe e a casa.

 

GINGERBREAD MAN: recipe

Prima di Natale ho letto in classe la storia del Gingerbread man con un'attività di listening comprehension.

Non poteva mancare la ricetta del pan di zenzero da leggere e cucinare durante le vacanze natalizie.

Eccola qui:

Ingredients

330 g flour

4 g ginger powder

6 g cinnamon powder

5 g bicarbonate of soda

160 g sugar

120 g butter

1 egg

60 g honey

RECIPE

1. Put flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger, cinnamon and sugar into a bowl and mix well.

2. Cut the butter into cubes and add to the mixture.

3. Add the egg and the honey and work the mixture with your hand. Form a dough and put in the fridge for 30 minutes.

4. Roll the dough out and cut out the gingerbread man shapes (or other forms). Put the biscuits on the baking tray

5. Bake for 15 minutes in the oven to 180°C

6- Decorate the gingerbread man cookies.

Per imparare l'arredamento e le stanze della casa, unitamente alla funzione There is/there are nella forma affermativa, negativa, interrogativa e risposte brevi ogni bambino ha costruito la propria casa di carta.

Ecco un esempio di casa finita. 

Utilizzando la casa di carta poi abbiamo svolto l'attività di speaking per la descrizione della casa e delle stanze con la funzione there is/are.

Thanksgiving dinner rolls

Per introdurre la festa del ringraziamento, che negli Stati Uniti d'America si festeggia il quarto giovedì di novembre, ho preparato un tutorial per una ricetta. Eccola:

Thanksgiving dinner rolls

Ingredients:

• 300 g flour
• 1 teaspoon dry (or fresh) yeast
• 160 ml warm water
• 15 g extra virgin olive oil
• ½ teaspoon sugar
• ½ teaspoon salt

               

put a teaspoon of dry yeast in warm water with 1/2 teaspoon of sugar

let it rest until the yeast foams

           

add the flour, oil and salt and mix with a fork knead with your hands until you get a ball

let it rise for 2 hours

write the thank-you cards (on baking paper)

prepare the dough balls with your hands and insert the folded card between the dough balls

let it rise for 1 hour

cook them in a hot oven at 200 °C

your thanksgiving dinner rolls are ready
