Opposite adjectives

In questi giorni in cui siamo costretti a casa dal coronavirus sto attuando didattica digitale con le bambini e i bambini delle classi quarte e quinte.
Per le classi prima, seconda e terza fortunatamente abbiamo creato dei memory durante l'anno che potranno utilizzare per ripassare un po' di lessico divertendosi.

In classe terza abbiamo creato il memory degli opposti.

Su ogni cartoncino viene scritto un aggettivo su un lato, ed il suo opposto sull'altro lato dello stesso cartoncino.
I bambini devono scegliere un aggettivo e pronunciarlo a voce alta, dire il suo opposto, controllando se è corretto sul retro del cartoncino.
Poi devono formare una frase affermativa con il verbo essere + aggettivo e una negativa con il verbo essere e l'aggettivo opposto.

Nuovo anno scolastico: accoglienza

L'inizio di un nuovo anno scolastico è sempre un momento intenso: ci sono aspettative, un turbine di emozioni, nuove idee da concretizzare, nuovi equilibri da cercare.
Insieme alle colleghe di un piccolo plesso di montagna abbiamo preparato l'accoglienza dei bambini a scuola attraverso la storia di Gianni Rodari "Le teste scambiate", costruendo poi un libro con le facce dei bambini da scambiare per costruire nuovi compagni, ognuno con le sue preziose diversità.
Con i bambini di terza, quarta e quinta abbiamo anche completato i ritratti con tre frasi in inglese.

Ed ora si parte!!!

Kumihimo di fine anno scolastico

Alla fine dell'anno scolastico nelle classi quinte ci dedichiamo alla tessitura di un braccialetto con la tecnica del kumihimo. 

I ragazzi seguono un tutorial in inglese e per due ore non si sente fiatare nessuno 😋

We can make a bracelet with the kumihimo technique.

It’s pretty, it’s easy enough for kids – and you only have to show them how to move the strings along the circle (count 1, 2, 3 and move to the empty slot).

To make the kumihimo disk:

Take a piece of medium-thick cardboard. Use a glass or a compass to draw a circle.

Using a pencil and a ruler, divide the circle in two parts, then four, then add the two last lines to make 8 parts (look at the pitcure).

Cut the ends (0,5 cm) with scissors.

Make a hole at the center and spin it a couple of times around the tip of the scissors (or a pencil) to enlarge it.

You can now proceed to actually braid the bracelet.

Tie a knot at the end of a bunch of  7 strings (about 40 cm long). Thread the strings through the hole. Your choice of colors will determin the pattern of the bracelet.

It’s very easy…

Put the strings into the slots. Turn the disk so that the only empty slot points downwards. This place is marked as 0 on the picture. Count 1,2,3 and move string number 3 to slot 0.

Turn the disk again so the empty slot points downwards… and repeat the process, moving string number 3 to slot 0.

Termina così il nostro percorso scolastico.
